二、园区概况
山东威海工业园区是经省政府批准、国家发改委于2005年审核设立的省级开发区，主要任务是为市区骨干企业膨胀提供平台，承接国内外大的产业项目，打造威海制造业聚集区，加快市区与文登的对接。起步区规划面积52平方公里，截至目前，起步区共引进过亿元的大项目90多个（其中外资项目30余个），总投资420多亿元（其中外资5亿多美元），累计到位资金90多亿元。园区对进区企业项目建设所涉及的主要行政事业性收费最大限度地实行减免。
三、园区投资环境
山东威海工业园区截至目前累计完成基础设施投资10亿多元，新修道路100多公里，建成绿化面积25万平方米，安装路灯1000多盏，敷设地下管线270公里，基本实现了“十通一平”。园区以建设“创新型国际化产业新城”为统揽，加快建立以橡胶化工、新型材料、机电工具、电子信息、装备部件、纺织家纺、食品医药等七大产业为主导，物流、商贸、金融、旅游、温泉开发等现代服务业协调发展的循环经济产业体系，逐步建成威海最大的制造业聚集区、一体化大威海的现代新城区。
四、项目内容
威海工业园区电子信息产业化基地，致力于打造计算机、通信、视听、集成电路、显示器件、电子元器件等六大类电子信息骨干企业的汇集地和拉动地区经济更快更好发展的重要载体。为国内外信息电子产业投资转移提供优越的发展平台，同时为大中小企业从事科技研发提供优良的孵化平台。

2．Park/zone overview
Shandong Weihai Industrial Park is a provincial level development zone approved by provincial government and state development and reform committee in 2005. Its main task is to provide a platform for backbone enterprises in urban area to grow and to receive large industrial projects both at home and abroad, so as to create an aggregation area of manufacturing industry and accelerate the connection of the urban area to Wendeng. Covering 52 sq km2, the initial area has accommodated more than 90 large projects of more than 100 million yuan each (including over 30 foreign funded projects) with a total investment of more than 42 billion yuan (including foreign capital of over USD 500 million), and accumulatively more than 9 billion yuan have been settled. The Park offers the maximum deductions and exemptions of major administrative charges involved in project construction in the Park.

Up to now, Shandong Weihai Industrial Park has accumulatively completed more than 1 billion yuan infrastructural investment, more than 100 km new roads and 250,000 m2 gardening area, installed more than 1,000 road lights and 270 km underground pipelines, basically realizing "10-availability and one-leveling". Oriented to a "innovative internationalized industrial new town", the Zone accelerates the construction of recycling economy industrial system led by 7 major industries of rubber chemical, new materials, mechanic and electric tools, electronic information, equipment parts, home textiles, food and medicine, combining logistics, shopping, financial, tourist, hot spring and other modern service industries, so that to build the largest manufacturing industry aggregation area in Weihai and an integrated modern new urban area of Weihai.
4．Project contents
Weihai Industrial Park Electronic Information Industrialization Base is devoted to collect backbone electronic information enterprises of 6 categories, i.e., computer, communication, video/audio, integrated circuit, display device and electronic components, to stimulate the regional economy. It is to provide a superior development platform for investment shift of electronic information industries both at home and abroad and an excellent incubation platform for firms of various sizes dealing in technical research and development.
